Firstly, on behalf of the team at TopGolfer, we hope you are keeping safe and well.

The first half of the year has presented our industry with an unprecedented challenge. The CV19 situation has affected everyone, however we have been overwhelmed by the resilience of golf clubs, with many restarting operations and getting back on track. Golfers nationwide were excited to get back playing last month, and it’s even better news that there is a return to competitive golf in Phase 3.

THE LAST 4-MONTHS

Across the last 4-months, we used the downtime to completely upgrade our website and to launch a new Podcast & Vodcast series, hosted by TopGolfer and presented by SkySports & European Tour commentator Gary Murphy.

Our goal was to have a “community” based series, where we talk to the real golfer – the single figure amateur golfer (aka the Weekend Warrior) who follows the Tour - learning about their work / golf / life balance and a few tales from the Tour. THE RETURN TO COMPETITIVE GOLF 2020

Due to the easing of restrictions and the demand from our community of players, we will be running our successful Matchplay series this July, and a number of JSC & SSC scratch cup events to form a summer series in August and September.

We are now accepting entries for the 2020 Matchplay Series. Like last year, the series will be played as a Home / Away draw format, which will be restricted to the first 64-entries. Entry fee is 30€ paid via PayPal, once your entry is confirmed.

We are excited to welcome the Spanish Tourist Board as our new partner this year, meaning the Semi-Finals and Finals will be hosted in Spain this November at the stunning La Finca Resort in Alicante (provided it is safe to travel during this period). Flights, accommodation and transfers will be provided for the Finalists.

It is a nationwide series, but we will endeavour to group you into more local matches in the earlier rounds. All players will be emailed a link on 1st July to enter this Matchplay series, simply click on this link and fill in the details (Name, Club, Handicap, County you live in, email):
