The 2026 TopGolfer Tour came to a thrilling conclusion over the weekend at Powerscourt Golf Club, with Joe Hannigan and PJ Doyle taking centre stage as the season’s champions.

After a season of competitive golf at some of Ireland’s finest golf clubs, the Tour Championship provided a fitting finale to another hugely successful TopGolfer season.

Joe Hannigan of Headfort Golf Club was crowned the 2026 Flogas Order of Merit Champion, following an outstanding season of consistent performances. Hannigan secured two impressive Tour victories at Farnham and Donabate, building a strong points total throughout the season to claim the prestigious Order of Merit title.

There was also history made at Powerscourt, as PJ Doyle of Ballymoney Golf Club successfully defended his TopGolfer Tour Championship title after the 27-hole shootout. Doyle becomes the first golfer in TopGolfer history to successfully defend the Tour Championship, a remarkable achievement that underlines his quality and consistency at the highest level.

1st - PJ Doyle, Ballymoney GC.

2nd - Padraig Hearns, Mountrath GC.

3rd - Mark Whelan, Rosslare GC.

4th - Stephen Finlan, Castle GC.

5th - Stephen Cullen, Blessington Lakes GC.

6th - Paul Teeling, Ashbourne GC.

The conclusion of the 2026 season marks another significant milestone for TopGolfer, which continues to provide a competitive platform for Ireland’s talented amateur golfers. With Tour, Matchplay and Member events restricted to players with a CONGU handicap of less than 10, TopGolfer has established a community where a passion for the game is matched by a genuine competitive edge.

TopGolfer would like to extend its sincere thanks to the Irish golf community for its continued support throughout the season, as well as to all of the Tour sponsors Flogas, ECCO, Motocaddy, Druids Golf, First Rate Financial planning, along with media partner Destination Golf and all of our venue partners who helped make the 2026 Tour possible.

Their support has been instrumental in bringing competitive events to some of Ireland’s leading golf clubs and creating memorable experiences for players throughout the season.

As the curtain comes down on 2026, TopGolfer would like to congratulate Joe Hannigan and PJ Doyle on their outstanding achievements, while thanking every player who competed throughout the year.

With another season successfully completed, attention now turns towards 2027, with TopGolfer looking forward to building on the momentum and continuing to grow the Tour and its community of passionate Irish golfers.

Congratulations to all involved in another fantastic season of golf. See you in 2027!!
