Free PowerPlay Golf Event for TopGolfers

photo_3.jpg

Thursday Nights are PowerPlay Golf Nights!!

Odds on you haven’t tried this exciting new 9-hole, 2-flag format yet. Maybe you watched Graeme McDowell & Ian Poulter take on Paul Casey and John Daly at Celtic Manor at the launch event on May 30th on Sky Sports? Well we’re offering you the chance to sample it yourself.

PowerPlay Golf is a superb game of strategy and demands players to perform under pressure. Its designed to add excitement and an extra dimension to 9 holes. It’s quicker and cheaper to play than a tradition 18 hole round and offers those who find it tough to find time to play, the opportunity to get out on the golf course a little more often.

This is a free event for TopGolfers with tee times at Hollystown Golf Club available from between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday June 16th.

To book your place, email [email protected] with your name, phone number and preferred tee time.

As with all of our TopGolfer Events, players will get a goody bag and compete for some VERY nice prizes. Most importantly though, its a bit of golfing exhileration in just 2 hours - perfect for a mid-week golfing hit!

Rules:
Played over 9 holes, PowerPlay Golf uses the stableford format with full handicap allowance. There are 2 flags in each green, 1 white and 1 black (which is in a slightly more difficult pin position). Players have to go for the black flag 3 times in the first 8 holes of their round. When they do, they score double stabpeford points for birdies or better. On the last 9th hole, players have the choice of going for an extra black flag and again score double points for birdies or better - however if they score a bogey or worse on this last hole, they lose 3 points off their score.
