Luttrellstown to host Nature Valley PlayOffs 2016

Luttrellstown Castle Luxury Resort has been confirmed as the host the Nature Valley PlayOffs 2016. After a hugely successfully Order of Merit in 2015, granola bar Nature Valley has once again partnered up with the TopGolfer Tour as a title partner to the Nature Valley Order of Merit 2016 and the Nature Valley PlayOffs 2016.

A short 20-minute drive from Dublin airport or city centre, Luttrellstown Castle Luxury Resort offers an exclusive castle estate, situated in the heart of 560 acres of elegant surroundings.

The resort has had many owners over the years, all of whom invested in restoration and refurbishment programs, putting their touches to the historic and grand castle. In November 2006 Luttrellstown Castle Estate was purchased by Mr. JP McManus and Mr. John Magnier, both well respected Irish business men. Many notable celebrities and members of the royal family have spent time at the castle, more recently Kelly Clarkson and her band and in 1999, Victoria and David Beckham were married here.

Luttrellstown Castle Golf & Country Club is situated within a walled estate. The 18-hole championship parkland course has undergone a complete redevelopment – all of the 18 holes have been modified and enhanced. The Golf & Country Club is located on the eastern side of the estate and is bounded by mature woodlands. The natural contours of the land have been cleverly used to maintain the integrity of this ancient landscape.

The course measures over 7347 yards from the championship tees, making it a worthy test for golfers of the highest standard. Water is featured on 11 holes, accurate tee shots determine where and how much of the hazard must be crossed. The view from the 6th tee down across the Liffey Valley and Strawberry Beds is spectacular, while the par four 11th presents visitors with the first glimpse of the castle. Full practice facilities are available, including chipping and putting greens. Expert golf tuition is also available from residential professionals.
