The TopGolfer Tour returned to Castle Golf Club, one of the most popular venues in each of the last four seasons. Players regularly say that the Castle JSC kicks off their golfing season, and over 180+ competitors – including 50+ Order of Merit competitors assembled this year for the popular Junior Scratch. The course conditions are always super at the club, and this year was no exception – with the putting surfaces particularly being applauded.

Victory went to Robert Moran from The Castle Golf Club with a superb score of 72-gross. The 9 handicapper Juvenile golfer can now add The Castle Junior Scratch Cup to the prestigious Father & Son Championship that he previously won. Robert will now go forward to the TopGolfer PlayOffs at New Forest GC this September 2014.

Continuing his great form from 2013, runner-up on the day was PJ Doyle from Ballymoney GC on 74-gross.

All shooting 75-gross, the battle for 3rd, 4th, and 5th places went to countback – which was decided as: 3rd John White (6) The Island GC, 4th James Beahan (5) Baltray GC, 5th John Coughlan (7) Edmonstown GC.

Prizes for 1st to 5th places have been left at Castle GC for collection/ delivery. A representative from The Castle GC will be in contact with all prize winners soon.
