The Grange Golf Club is a hugely popular Dublin venue. The pristine parkland golf course is complimented by a friendly clubhouse and warm welcome for visitors. But there is a special air of excitement and buzz around the club this year as this is the home club of Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley – who also happens to be the Honorary Club Captain this year. The Grange Golf Club is a special place and The TopGolfer Tour is privileged to be associated with the clubs Junior & Senior Scratch Cups.

After a thundery start to the day, the weather turned for the better and conditions were perfect for players to shoot a good score. Victory in the Senior Scratch Cup went to Mark Kerrigan (1) from Old Conna GC. A 71-gross was good enough to edge past defending champion Michael Gielty (2) from The Grange GC after a back 9 count back. Also from The Grange GC, Charlie Hendrick (3) took third place on 72-gross. On 73-gross, 4th and 5th places when to the duo of Aidan Kelly (Scr) and Niall Carroll (2) from The Heritage Golf Club.

In the Junior Scratch, victory went to Dermot Cahill from Faithlegg GC on 73-gross. The Order of Merit contender that was in 23rd place before competing must now bow out the race to New Forest GC, having secured a place at the TopGolfer Tour Championships at Portmarnock Links.

Local member Conn Buckely and OOM contender Keith Cohalan also shot 73-gross, only to be pipped by a back 9 countback. Also from The Grange GC, Paul McNiff took 4th place on 74-gross and OOM contender James Hayden took 5th.
