Wilson Wins at Delgany JSC
Michael Wilson (5) from Slievenamon GC enjoyed that winning feeling, after battling to victory in the Delgany Junior Scratch. Conditions were not easy, and Michaels one over par back nine proved the difference in a high quality field of players.
Having entered the event lying in 2nd place in the Order of Merit Leaderboard, this bitter sweet victory means that Michael will resign his place on the 2014 Table and automatically qualify for the season ending TopGolfer Tour Championships at Portmarnock Links.
Emmet O’Neill (6) from Delvin Castle Golf Club took second place. A superb 74-gross was good enough to pip Delgany duo of Paul Hautz (3rd) and Brian Murphy (5th) by 1-shot. The same 75-gross was also recorded by Graham Barry from Powerscourt Golf Club, who took 4th place on the day.
