Ciaran O’Brien wins TopGolfer JSC at Ashbourne

What a tight finish we had at Ashbourne today. The top of the field was tightly bunched but it was Ciaran O’Brien (7) of Laytown Bettystown who took the title on a count back with his round of 71. Congratulations Ciaran and we look forward to welcoming you to the Tour Championship in October.

Two other competitors shot level par rounds on the day. Mark Ryan (4) on his home club took second place ahead of Brian Cannon (5) who was so close to securing the title after a blistering front 9 which saw him reach -4 just before the turn. Fourth place went to John Foster (7) with a great score of 72.

Ashbourne was in fantastic condition and the scores reflected how much the field enjoyed the course and the day. 94 competed. Winner of the Betfair Nearest the Pin Prize was Paul Gleeson. Images form the event are in our gallery.
