TopGolfer Tour Championships 2025 moves to Powerscourt
Powerscourt Golf Club Announced as Host Venue for the 2025 TopGolfer Tour Championship Finals
Powerscourt Golf Club, one of Ireland’s premier golfing destinations, has been officially unveiled as the host venue for the 2025 TopGolfer Tour Championship Finals, taking place on Sunday 5th October 2025.
Set within the magnificent Powerscourt Estate and just 30 minutes south of Dublin, the club boasts two championship courses renowned for their immaculate condition and stunning natural surroundings.
Powerscourt Golf Club has long been a favourite on the TopGolfer Tour, with its Senior and Junior Scratch Cups firmly established as key fixtures on the TopGolfer Tour calendar. However, 2025 will mark a milestone as the Club hosts the TopGolfer Tour Championship Finals for the very first time at this renowned Co. Wicklow venue.
The Tour Championship Finals mark the pinnacle of the TopGolfer season, uniting Ireland’s top amateur players for an action-packed finale. The championship will unfold in a dramatic 27-hole shootout, starting with 18 holes on the West Course, followed by a cut to the top six contenders. These finalists will then face a decisive 9-hole showdown on the East Course, a renowned layout designed by Peter McEvoy and former host of the 1998 Irish PGA and 2001 Irish Seniors Open. The tournament will culminate on the 9th green, where the 2025 TopGolfer Champion will be crowned.
Dermot Synnott, Tour Director of the TopGolfer Series, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “Powerscourt Golf Club is a world-class venue and a perfect fit for our championship finals. The West Course offers a true test for Ireland’s top amateur players, while the setting is second to none. We’re delighted to partner with such a prestigious club for our 2025 final and a 27-hole shootout will find a very deserved Champion.”
The announcement was also welcomed by Gavin Hunt, General Manager of Powerscourt Golf Club: “We are honoured to host the TopGolfer Tour Championship Finals in 2025. Powerscourt has a long-standing reputation for excellence, and we look forward to showcasing the very best of Irish golf in what promises to be an unforgettable event for players.”
Beyond golf, visitors will enjoy the wider attractions of the Powerscourt Estate, including the historic Powerscourt House, Ireland’s highest waterfall, and luxury accommodation options, making it an exceptional destination for sport and leisure.
