Congratulations to Stephen Gethings from Co. Meath Golf Club on winning the TopGolfer Order of Merit 2014.

From March to September 2014, Order of Merit contenders were teeing it up week-in week-out at Tour events nationwide, vying for a top 35 place to qualify for the TopGolfer PlayOffs. By taking this work ethic to heart, TopGolfer Players understood that a combination of skill, determination and drive are fundamentals to success.

Stephen proved that his consistency across a 7-month span was key. Six Top10 finishes which included a 3rd place at Glen of the Downs SSC and a 4th place at Knightbrook JSC accumulated too stong a lead on the chasing pack. His season total of 20588 OOM Points also marks a new record high for any Order of Merit Champion.

Stephen now goes forward to the 2-day TopGolfer Tour Championships at Portmarnock Links on 11th & 12th October 2014, where he will be one of twenty-eight golfers that are competing for the title of “Ireland’s TopGolfer Champion 2014”.
